I invite you to watch my creative process of exploring muscle memory from my years of training in the sport of figure skating and my love of painting. ~2025 ~

Sea Urchin Sculpture Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute Arts & Science Program

Inspired by the structural beauty of the sea urchin, this sculpture transforms a fragile ocean floor animal to a monumental scale. The rigidity of their form combined with their moveable spines creates a fascinating multidimensional use of space.  Paying homage to GMGI's research work, and the potential of analyzing a tiny strand of DNA to have huge consequences for preventing and treating cancer, I invite viewers to reflect on the interdependence of human and oceanic worlds. ~ September 2025

Cove Gallery, Gloucester MA, June 12-July 6, 2025

As artists, we work in solitude creating from the ego, mind, soul, spirit, and subconscious. In constructing our work, we react personally to our surroundings, global events, climate and landscape, social and political issues and the effect on us as individuals and our communities. The process of making an artwork provides the safe, meditative space to help heal, reflect on and process trauma or to find balance. As the viewer connects with their own stories and challenges, their healing and repair is amplified.
